     John Ryan was born on November 20, 1860 in Stark County, Illinois.1,2 He was the son of John Ryan and Winiford (Winnie) Ryan. John Ryan married Mary A. (Mae) Hokanson on August 5, 1896 in Wichita, Sedgewick County, Kansas.3 John Ryan died on March 9, 1928 in Jamaica, Guthrie County, Iowa, at age 67.2 He was buried in St. Patrick Cemetery, Marshall County, Illinois.2
