     Anna Whelan was born on October 10, 1884 in Reading, Livingston County, Illinois.2 She married Samuel Edward Hopper, son of Patrick Hopper and Bridget Murnane, on April 28, 1909 in Streator, La Salle County, Illinois.1 Anna Whelan died in April, 1966 in Streator, La Salle County, Illinois, at age 81.2 She was buried in Lostlands Cemetery, La Salle County, Illinois.2
