     Mary Bernard (Mildred) Sharkey Sr. was born on September 20, 1907 in Bradford, Stark County, Illinois.1 She was the daughter of Owen Patrick Sharkey and Ellen Celesta Hickey.1 Mary Bernard (Mildred) Sharkey Sr. died on February 2, 1994 in St. Mary Priory, Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, at age 86.1 She was buried in Sts.Peter and Paul Cemetery, Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois.1
     She joined on August 15, 1926 in Sisters of St. Benedict, Rock Island, Illinois.2
