Thomas Bartley married Margaret Day, daughter of Thomas O'Dea and Ellen _____, on January 11, 1818 in Kilteely In the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. Witnesses to the wedding were Thomas Dea and John Noonan.2 Thomas Bartley died on June 18, 1873 in 90 London Street, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 75.3,4 He was buried in Mount Auburn Catholic Cemetery, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. . The tombstone reads: "Erected by Catherine Bartley in memory of her father Thomas Bartley who died June 18, 1873, aged 78 years, a native of the Parish of Kilteely, Co. Limerick, Ireland, also of her mother Margaret who died Nov 18, 1855, aged 52 years, also of her sister Margaret who died Dec 27, 1872, aged 53."5
