     Timothy Dorsey was born in 1809 in County Limerick.1 He was the son of Patrick Dorsey and Margaret _____. Timothy Dorsey married Margaret Lafin before 1833 in County Limerick. It is evident from the birth records of Timothy's children, all of them were born in Boheroe. Timothy and his wife, Margaret Laffin, probably lived with his father, Patrick, until she died. After Timothy married a second time to Ellen O'Dea in 1847, they too livewd in Boheroe until they emigrated in 1849.2 Timothy Dorsey married Ellen Day, daughter of Thomas O'Dea and Ellen _____, on February 14, 1847 in County Limerick.3 Timothy Dorsey died on September 8, 1854 in Henry, Marshall County, Illinois.1 He was buried in The Old Henry Cemetery, Henry, Marshall County, Illinois. On November 5, 1925, vandals struck the Old Catholic Cemetery at Henry, Illinois. Among the many stones tipped or shattered was that of Timothy Dorsey (d. 1854).      He and Ellen Day immigrated on July 2, 1849 to New York, New York. Timothy and Ellen Dorsey arrived in New York on the Ivanhoe. No children are listed in the manifest. The name is listed as Dacey in the index. Notice that the O'Dea surname was changed to Day almost immediately.5
