William O'Dea was born on January 6, 1852 in Milltown in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. Godparents were Michael O'Dea and Mary Murphy.1 He was the son of Robert O'Dea and Catherine Collins. William O'Dea married Katherine Flora Hargitt, daughter of Charles Hargitt and Mary Bagley, on June 12, 1882 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Leicester, Leicestershire. William O'Dea died on August 31, 1916 in Ditching Rise, Brighton, Sussex, at age 64.
