     Johanna Day was born on February 11, 1860 in Henry, Marshall County, Illinois.1 She was the daughter of Darby Day and Johanna Murnane. Johanna Day married Matthew Ryan, son of Anthony Ryan and Mary Manton, on January 6, 1884 in St. Patrick Church, Camp Grove, Marshall County, Illinois. Standing up for Matthew and Johanna were John Colgan and Mary Colgan.2,3 Johanna Day died on December 1, 1947 in Saratoga Township, Marshall County, Illinois, at age 87. The cause of death is listed as cerebral hemorrage.1 She was buried on December 3, 1947 in St. Patrick Cemetery, Marshall County, Illinois.1,4
