The O'Dea Families

     Patrick English was born on November 7, 1836 in Boherroe in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. He was the son of Michael English and Mary Birrane. Patrick English married Catherine O'Dea, daughter of Robert O'Dea and Catherine Collins, on February 14, 1888 in Donoughmore, County Limerick. It appears that when Catherine married Patrick English, she was living with either her brother Thomas or another family member in Cahernorry. The witnesses at the wedding were Patrick English and Margaret English.¹
