     Jane Bartley was born on March 10, 1832 in Kilteely In the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. John's godparent was Margaret Ryan.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Bartley and Margaret Day. Jane Bartley married Daniel Singleton on September 9, 1855 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.2 Jane Bartley died on August 1, 1889 in 5 Mt. Vernon Street, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 57.3
     She immigrated with Thomas Bartley and Margaret Day on August 11, 1849 to Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. The Bartley family arrived in Boston on the Sunbeam.4
