     Margaret (Judy) Bartley was born on June 11, 1834 in Milltown in the Parish of Aglishcormick, County Limerick. Judy's godparents were Simon Ryan and Judith Keaty. Because of a concurrence of dates with Margaret Bartley, we believe that Margaret and Judy are the same person and have so recorded them here.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Thomas Bartley and Margaret Day.1 Margaret (Judy) Bartley died on February 27, 1872 in 107 North Hampton, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 37. Margaret never married.1,2 She was buried in Catholic Mount Auburn Cemetery, Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The tombstone reads: "Erected by Catherine Bartley in memory of her father Thomas Bartley who died June 18, 1873, aged 78 years, a native of the Parish of Kilteely, Co. Limerick, Ireland, also of her mother Margaret who died Nov 18, 1855, aged 52 years, also of her sister Margaret who died Dec 27, 1872, aged 53."1
     She witnessed the birth of John Bartley on July 7, 1841 in County Limerick. John's godparents were John Dea and Margaret Bartley.4,5 Margaret (Judy) Bartley immigrated with Thomas Bartley and Margaret Day on August 11, 1849 to Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. The Bartley family arrived in Boston on the Sunbeam.6
