     Thomas Adams was born in 1795 in Emly, County Tipperary.1 He was the son of John Adams and _____ _____.1 Thomas Adams married Margaret Ryan on February 16, 1822 in Emly, County Tipperary.2 Thomas Adams died on November 1, 1879 in Ontario County, New York.1 He was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Canandaigua, Ontario County, New York.1
     He witnessed the marriage of Ann Adams and Patrick Murnane on February 14, 1831 in Chancellorsland Townland, Emly, County Tipperary. Sponsors for the marriage were Thomas Adams, John Neill and Mary Adams.3 Thomas Adams immigrated on November 3, 1848 to New York, New York. There are no immigration records for Thomas Adams born in 1795 between 1844 and 1850. There is this record, however, for John Adams and it is included here under the assumption that Thomas' middle name was John. Thomas' wife and children followed him to New York the following year in 1851.4
