Father*John Murnane b. circa 1776
John Murnane was born circa 1797 in Dromcomogue in the Parish of Emly, County Tipperary. He was the son of John Murnane. John Murnane married Sarah (Mary) Dea on February 18, 1817 in Knocklong, County Limerick. Witnesses were Matthew Madden and Daniel Madden. The record indicates that the bride's name was Mary; however, in light of subsequent records, this seems to be an error. The name of the bride was probably Sarah Dea.1
John Murnane witnessed the birth of Bridget Murnane on August 10, 1837 in County Tipperary. Sponsors for the baptism were John Murnane and Mary Adams. The 1910 Census indicates that her birthdate was August 1840. The death certificate gives a date of birth as 9 Aug 1839.2,3
